College baseball is sport that is dominated by American athletes both when it comes to the professional level as well as the collegiate level. Although many Latin and some Asian countries are making an impact on the sport, U.S. is the power house of baseball.

College baseball have a rich tradition and after the professional leagues in the U.S. it is considered one of the highest level you can play in the country.

Today there are 298 D-1 and 238 D-II universities that offer college baseball scholarships. There is total of 5,628 baseball scholarships in the NCAA alone. There are also several schools in D-III that have college baseball programs without offering baseball scholarships.

There are universities with college baseball scholarships at the NAIA and NJCAA level.

International baseball players are emerging in college baseball but it remains to be one of the toughest sports for international athletes to break into.

To receive a college baseball scholarship as a freshman you need to be able to contribute to the team right away.

To obtain interests from college baseball coaches it is important to have a good presentation or “recruiting video”. So it is essential that you footage from both practice and matches. The baseball seasons culminates with NCAA Championship in June.
