College Football Scholarships
The biggest sport in the U.S. and college athletics is by far college Football, every other college sport is secondary to that. That is way there are more college football scholarships than any other sport. American Football have the same stature soccer has in the rest of the world; it is without any doubt the most dominate sport of all sports in the U.S. D-I college football programs have 85 football scholarships in I-A and 63 scholarships in I-AA. In D-II, there are 36 college football scholarships. 
So what are the possibilities for an athlete to play college football at a university level with a college football scholarship? Well, they are very tough. Basketball and American Football remains to be the most competitive sports for athletes to get recruited with a scholarship to. Especially for international athletes, while basketball is starting to open up to international recruits, American Football still have a very few athletes with a international background.
Our recommendation to Football players is to start the recruiting process early by contacting coaches and universities, let them know that you are interested in joining their program. And when you present yourself make sure you present yourself as a person who will make an impact in the program and not just somebody who will be another person in the team.
Target a school where you will receive playing time and where you will be able to cope with level of play. This is especially important if you want obtain a college football scholarship. Focus on a creating a good football recruiting video, remember that it in many cases the recruiting video is the only impression you will be able to make on the college coach.
Junior College Football is an option for many athletes who needs a year or two before transferring to a big four year university.
