Today there are 212 Men’s Lacrosse programs and a total of 69 of them offer college lacrosse scholarships for their athletes. On the Women’s side there are 258 lacrosse programs and 129 of them offers college lacrosse scholarships.

An average lacrosse college team has 12.6 lacrosse scholarships to share for the men’s team and 12 lacrosse scholarships for the women’s team. Your amount of scholarship will depend on how good you are and the amount of contribution you bring to the team.

It’s not a bad idea to play in settings other than your High School to increase your chances to get noticed by college lacrosse coaches. Another key component to obtain college lacrosse scholarships is that you make sure that you have a good lacrosse recruiting video.

Often Junior College is an overlooked when choosing a school as a Lacrosse players but they are a great option for an athlete who wants to pursue their sport. This is especially true when it comes to international athletes who may not have the resume to go straight to play for a top D-1 team.

College Lacrosse have increased in popularity this past years and the finals of NCAA tournaments can be viewed on national channels like ESPN.
