Good Academics: A good GPA and test scores always helps regardless of what level you are as an athlete or what sport you play. As a Volleyball player having a good GPA and test scores makes the recruiting process a lot easier for the coach.

Take prep courses for the SAT or ACT to get a better score and do not wait until last minute to take these tests as it can decide on what school you end up going to.

Good results as a team: If you play in a good  high school team chances are that coaches already have approached you or know who you are. What if your team is not that good? The key is to try to find an environment where most of your teammates are looking to continue to play Volleyball at a collegiate level. If most of your teammates are in their college Volleyball recruiting process as well it will be easier for you to get recruited, rather than if your the only player in your team who is looking to playing college Volleyball.

If your High School is not that good try to find club teams in your area that play in a higher level. This will show your college Volleyball coach that you are serious about your sport and that you are willing to work hard to get better.

Volleyball Recruiting Video: It is important to know what the Volleyball coaches want to see from your Volleyball recruiting video.

It is essential that you record the video so you can view the full court from behind. Also make sure that the coach knows what number you have on your jersey.
